West Cascades

Things bloom much earlier on the west side of the Cascades, usually starting in April. The Glide Wildflower Show held the last weekend in April is well worth the trip. You can see more than 100 wildflower species on display — no hunting required! This includes images from the wildflower show as well as flowers "in the wild." A macro flash is often needed as flowers here are often heavily shaded by trees and thick foliage.
